iDemo 1.2.0 out
Posted on October 27, 2011
Today, we’ve launched some exciting new features. iDemo now has a fullscreen mode! Yes, you’ve asked for it and it is available now for both Windows and Mac. Additionally, we’ve added support for new ScreenSplitr 2.3 secure authentication. You can now set a password to protect WiFi access to your device.
ScreenSplitr 2.3 will soon be available on Cydia and is now compatible with iOS 5.

I know at the moment it is not possible, but I would consider downloading this if you did not have to jail brake your iPhone. I am not willing to jail brake it and thats it.

There is an exciting and affordable new product out by Blackmagic design called the Intensity Extreme (see: http://www.blackmagic-design.com/products/intensity/) that uses HDMI mirroring and Thunderbolt. Thus, my question is whether iDemo could be adapted to use this input to display the iPad and other iOS devices screen, frame an all.
I suspect that this would catapult iDemo to mainstream use since no jailbreak is required.

Does iDemo work with DisplayOut (from the same author as DisplayRecorder)?

I just bought 1.2.1 and maybe I’m being stupid but I can’t find fullscreen mode. Where is it? I’m on a Mac. Thanks.

Will iDemo work with any recording software like Camtasia or Screenflow?
Jan 14, 2012
Hey there, I would love to try this but during the installation (on windows 7), the setup for Visual C++ 2010 Runtime Libraries (x86) reports that I already have a newer version and fails. Consequently even the setup for iDemo fails. This happens regardless of running in administrator mode or not. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

This is a new product idea based on iDemo. Very high quality capture of iPad 2 “mirroring” can be obtained with hardware from Blackmagic Design, specifically the two Intensity Extreme models (one internal, the other external). This solution uses Apple’s HDMI adapter output which is very sharp and much better than the USB solutions out now. Unfortunately, the Media Express app that ships with this hardware does not present the iPad frame as iDemo does. Thus, I am proposing a new app based on iDemo and the BlackMagic SDK. This would be in great demand by high end screen casters who work with iPad (and iPhone) app promotion.
Here’s some info on the SDK:
Developing custom software using Blackmagic Design hardware
The DeckLink SDK is available to developers who wish to programmatically control Blackmagic video
hardware with their own custom software. The DeckLink SDK supports the UltraStudio, DeckLink, Multibridge
and Intensity families of products.
The DeckLink SDK provides both low-level control of hardware and high-level interfaces to allow developers
to easily perform common tasks. The DeckLink SDK supports technologies including:
• Apple QuickTime • Microsoft DirectShow
• Apple Core Media • DeckLink API

In some cases, we might request a brief outline of the software you are developing if it is not immediately
obvious from your domain name that your organization develops video software. Please don’t take offence
as we’re simply trying to keep the list free of spam and viruses as well as end-user customers asking
non-development questions, employment agents or sales people trying to promote products on the list.
